 Hi All!

Lawn Fawn has this challenge blog where usually every two weeks a new challenge is posted.  Challenge #120 is called All Things Birthday.

I love creating birthday cards and seeing the joy that a handmade card can bring someone on their birthday. I had just bought the new Berry Special stamp set from Lawn Fawn's new release and wanted to create a cute birthday card with it.

I used the single strawberry and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to create a cute tone on tone background on the Kraft cardstock. I wanted to created a cute strawberry patch scene on the teal cardstock. I hope whoever receives this beautiful card has a berry happy birthday!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #120 - All Things Birthday

  Hi All!

Lawn Fawn has this challenge blog where usually every two weeks a new challenge is posted.  Challenge #120 is called All Things Birthday.

During the pandemic I started creating and sending out birthday cards to some of my family then I realized that I have a lot of family members and that I'm glad I didn't start this with my whole family. I don't get to see the joy on people's faces when they get my cards very often. But during the pandemic the family members who were now receiving these cards we were "seeing" over zoom more regularly than before and I got to see the joy and excitement they had when they knew they had a "Laurie Card" in their hands. I love the feeling of joy and excitement a handmade card can bring to a person's face when they realize that someone loves them enough to create something just for them.

I wanted to create a card that would be cute for anyone no matter what age. I used the Bubbles of Joy and the Scripty Bubble Sentiments stamp sets to create all the bubbles on the background. I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink on the Teal Color Vibe paper. I love the look of the large bubble with the mouse in it that I wanted to use it to create a birthday card so I added a little party hat to the mouse.

Supplies: White Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Stamp (Bubbles of Joy, Scripty Bubble Sentiments, Birthday Koala), Simple Stories Color Vibe (Teal), Memento Black Ink, Various Copics, Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers), Tape Runner, Wink of Stella (Clear Glitter), Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, Pop Dots

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #119 - Card Sketch

Hi All!

Lawn Fawn has this challenge blog where usually every two weeks a new challenge is posted.  Challenge #119 is called Card Sketch.

I love getting to make thinking of you cards almost as much as I love making birthday and holiday cards. In the new Lawn Fawn release there was a stamp set called Better Days with a bunny holding a heart and lots of great sentiments. Using the card sketch from this Lawn Fawnatics challenge and the Better Days stamp set I wanted to create a nice thinking of you card that would bring some joy to someone's life when they need it most.

I flipped the sketch to better fit the way the bunny was sitting. Using Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry distress inks and the Taylored Expressions Mini Slim Swiss Hearts stencil I created a really cool background. After creating the background I added the sentiment banner, bunny holding a heart and a lot of little hearts (in 3 different sizes) to finish creating this really cute thinking of you card.

Supplies: White Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Stamp (Better Days, Bubbles of Joy, Berry Special), Memento Black Ink, Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry), Taylored Expressions Stencil (Mini Slim - Swiss Hearts), Tape Runner, Various Copics, Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, Pop Dots, Wink of Stella (Clear Glitter)

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #118 - Clean & Simple Part 2

   Hi All!

Lawn Fawn has this challenge blog where usually every two weeks a new challenge is posted.  Challenge #118 is called Clean and Simple.

When the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop was released during the Lawn Fawn Winter release I loved it. I love that it doesn't just have to be used only during the holiday season but can be used all year round. Using the black & gold background I add a jar of stars and a little mouse that is celebrating to create a graduation card. I love the colour scheme for this card as it keeps it simple but elegant.

Supplies: White Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Gold Glitter Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Stamp (You Autumn Know, How You Bean?, How You Bean? Star Add-On, Bubbles of Joy), Lawn Fawn Dies (Peppermint Stripes Backdrop), Memento Black Ink, Various Copics, Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, Pop Dots, Wink of Stella (Clear Glitter)

Thanks Laurie

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #118 - Clean & Simple

  Hi All!

Lawn Fawn has this challenge blog where usually every two weeks a new challenge is posted.  Challenge #118 is called Clean and Simple.

Every holiday season I create holiday cards to be sent to family and friends of the family. Normally my Mom and I both create cards to send out. This year we decided to start our holiday card stash early.

I love snowflake stencils ... not sure why but I do. The Snowflake Trio stencil from Lawn Fawn is always a favourite of mine because there are three sizes to choose from and so many different backgrounds you can create with it. I used 3 distress inks to create an ombre effect with the largest snowflake in the stencil. I also stamped the Let It Snow sentiment in black over the centre of the snowflake.

Supplies: White Cardstock, Blue Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Stamp (Snow Bunnies for Simon Says Stamp),  Lawn Fawn Stencil (Snowflake Trio), Memento Black Ink, Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon), Tape Runner

Thanks Laurie
